GamerScout Verdict
Solid co-op escape-room DLC with charm; solo players will find the puzzle logic a slog.

About Escape Academy: Escape From Anti-Escape Island
I went in expecting more of what made the original Escape Academy fun: clever room logic, quirky charm, and that sweet spot where co-op communication actually matters. Anti-Escape Island delivers on that promise if you've got a partner. The puzzles here lean puzzle-box rather than narrative-heavy, which works fine when you're bouncing ideas off someone else. Solo, though, the magic fades fast. You're solving rooms that feel designed for two heads, which means a lot of backtracking and that hollow feeling of outwitting AI teammates who aren't really teammates. The island setting is goofy enough to keep things light, and the escape-room fundamentals are solid if a bit straightforward compared to modern releases in the genre. Best played with someone sitting next to you who doesn't mind the occasional "try putting that item on that thing" moment.
