GamerScout Verdict
For RTS purists willing to overlook dated interface design in exchange for straightforward, no-frills colony management and combat.

About Earth 2150: The Moon Project
Earth 2150: The Moon Project is a spinoff RTS that trades the original's Earth setting for extraterrestrial colonization. You build bases, harvest resources, and direct unit formations across moon and alien terrain in campaign missions. The core loop works: base expansion feels purposeful, unit micromanagement is responsive enough, and map design forces tactical thinking. But the interface is a relic, small fonts, clunky menus, and tooltips that assume you've read the manual (you haven't). Single-player campaign is the draw; multiplayer is a ghost town. This is pure late-90s RTS DNA, which means if you're comfortable with StarCraft or Warcraft 2 pacing and UI standards, you'll find something competent here. Just know you're getting a B-tier entry in a genre that's moved on. Graphics are functional sci-fi dross, and the learning curve is steep mostly because the game doesn't explain itself, not because it's genuinely complex.
