Compare Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Climax Studios. Published by Ubisoft Entertainment. Released on 2/9/2016. Available on PC, Xbox. Genres: Action, Adventure.

A side-scrolling stealth game set in post-Revolution Russia that trades open-world spectacle for claustrophobic 2.5D level design and propaganda-art aesthetics.

I went in expecting another Assassin's Creed open-world romp and got something stranger: a 2.5D stealth platformer where you're creeping through Soviet-era Russia as Nikolaï Orelov, searching for redemption after the October Revolution. The art direction is genuinely striking, borrowing from Russian constructivism and propaganda posters to create an atmosphere no other AC game touches. The stealth mechanics are tight for side-scrolling, guard sight lines, hiding spots, and execution timing matter. The trade-off is obvious: you lose the freedom of the main series entirely. Levels are tightly scripted, progression is linear, and there's little room for improvisation. If you're after the 2016 AC formula, this will feel like a puzzle box from a spinoff that should've stayed unknown. But if you want something weird and architecturally disciplined, with a visual identity that holds up, it's worth the detour. Alex, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Best for stealth fans who appreciate artistic direction over sandbox freedom and can live with linear, puzzle-box level design.
