You play Detective Brent Halligan hunting a neo-Druid cult committing ritual murders, which is genuinely creepy setup material. The puzzle design leans classic Sierra adventure-game hard - pixel hunts, obtuse inventory combinations, and dialogue trees that don't always telegraph what matters. If you loved LucasArts-era point-and-clicks and have the patience for real adventure game friction, there's a competent mystery buried here. The real issue is the interface and presentation haven't aged gracefully. Clunky menus, sluggish navigation, and a general lack of polish make this feel like a student project rather than a professional release. The story stays engaging enough if you push past that, but you'll spend more time fighting the UI than enjoying the investigation. This is strictly for dedicated adventure game archaeologists willing to tolerate 2000s freeware-adjacent design for narrative payoff.
