The FMV Collection 2
A collection of interactive movie games where your choices shape branching stories, held back by uneven production values and a reliance on well-trodden narrative paths.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for FMV completists who forgive rough production in exchange for multiple narrative paths.

Acerca de The FMV Collection 2
I went in expecting Wales Interactive's signature FMV approach to land better this time around. What you get is a grab-bag of branching narrative experiences filmed with real actors, where your dialogue choices and decisions genuinely alter plot directions. The best entries here show restraint, letting you sink into mystery or thriller setups where tension builds from uncertainty. The worst feel like rejected pilots stretched into interactive experiences, with writing that leans on familiar beats and actors who seem aware they're in an experimental format. The production values are inconsistent across the collection. Some episodes look polished enough to pass as streaming content; others have that unmistakable low-budget digital sheen that breaks immersion the moment a scene asks you to care. If you're a completionist who enjoys mapping out decision trees and replaying for alternate endings, there's enough branching here to justify a session or two. But if you're after cinematic storytelling that feels purposeful rather than just "filmed differently," you'll likely find yourself skipping through dialogue to chase the next plot fork. Worth a look if FMV-as-narrative is your thing and you're not expecting Hollywood production.
