Orcs Must Die! 2 - Are We There Yeti?
The third DLC pack for OMD2 trades green hordes for icy nightmares, and its Goblin Sappers will dismantle your killbox faster than you can say 'perfect trap layout'.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for OMD2 veterans who want their trap layouts genuinely challenged by enemy types that punish passive play.

Acerca de Orcs Must Die! 2 - Are We There Yeti?
I have a complicated relationship with trap-builder DLC, because nine times out of ten it hands you a couple of recolored maps and calls it a day. Are We There Yeti? is not that. Robot Entertainment took their third swing at expanding Orcs Must Die! 2 and landed somewhere genuinely mean-spirited, in the best possible way. The Ice Cavern setting is a real visual shift from the game's warmer stone corridors, and the new enemy roster is the kind of design that forces you to actually rethink a loadout you have been running since the base game. The two headline additions are Yetis and Goblin Sappers, and they are designed to punish each other's counterplay. Yetis hit hard, climb over barricades, and hurl icy shards that slow your movement. Get them low on health and they enrage, charging and leaping over the very obstacles you carefully positioned. Your instinct is to kite them through your best traps. The problem is the Goblin Sappers, who ignore you entirely and walk straight for your trap placements. When a Sapper finds a trap it likes, it detonates, temporarily disabling nearby gear and letting an entire wave roll through your killbox unscathed. Watching a beautifully tuned corridor become a useless hallway in three seconds is genuinely stressful, and I mean that as a compliment. It forces real-time adaptation rather than a set-and-forget mentality that the base game sometimes rewards too generously. The three campaign levels, Defend the Yeti Den, The Hive, and Chilled Cavern, are available solo or in co-op, and the difficulty spike is notable. Veterans of the base campaign who thought they had the trap meta solved will find that the rift positioning in these maps demands different solutions. Three Endless Mode conversions round out the level content, including a version of the fan-favourite Tower map, which has legs well beyond a single session. New gear arrives in the form of the Dwarven Missile Launcher, a ranged weapon with satisfying area coverage, the Spike Wall trap that springs out to impale and toss enemies sideways, and the Guardian Trinket, which resurrects your fallen guardians passively. The Spike Wall in particular rewards players who can predict enemy pathing rather than just place it reactively. If you have criticisms to make, the honest ones are minor. Three campaign levels is a short run, and players who burn through content fast will see everything the DLC offers in an evening. The Spike Wall also felt situational enough that some trap-heavy builds will never slot it in, which is a mild disappointment given how fun its activation animation is. Community feedback at launch flagged the pricing as steep for the content volume, a fair point that matters less if you are picking this up bundled years later. Bottom line: if you are already invested in Orcs Must Die! 2 and want a reason to rebuild your loadout from scratch, Are We There Yeti? delivers exactly that pressure without any filler padding it out. Bring a co-op partner for Endless Mode and the Goblin Sapper problem becomes a genuinely satisfying coordination puzzle rather than a solo headache.
