I went in expecting classic bullet-hell chaos, and Nova Strike delivers that in lean, focused bursts. You're piloting a ship through procedurally-generated waves, upgrading between runs to chip away at the high score. The loop is tight: die, learn enemy patterns, grab better gear next attempt, repeat. Blaster feel is snappy enough to keep runs satisfying even when they're short, and the permadeath structure means each session is genuinely different. The catch is that Nova Strike is deliberately modest in scope. There's no story, no boss rush finale, no unlockable ship variants to chase. If you're hunting replayable arcade action where progression means "I dodged better this time," this scratches that itch. Anyone expecting a full campaign or substantial upgrade trees will bounce off fast. It's a high-score chaser, full stop, and executed competently enough that arcade fans will find their groove.
