Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Season Pass (DLC)
Four DLC fighters added to an already-solid platform brawler - Mr. Krabs, Zuko, Rocksteady, and Iroh each bring distinct playstyles, but this pass lives and dies by how much you want more of the base game.

Acerca de Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Season Pass (DLC)
My honest take on the NASB2 Season Pass is this: it's roster expansion DLC, nothing more and nothing less, and whether it earns its keep depends entirely on how much mileage you're already getting out of the base game. The pass adds four characters rolled out across 2024 - Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants, Zuko and Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - plus a bonus SpongeBob "The Quickster" costume. Each fighter ships with three costumes, which is a fair value detail worth knowing. For context, the base game is genuinely better than it had any right to be. The Slime Meter system - three bars that charge as you deal or absorb damage and let you enhance moves, extend dodges, or cancel recoveries - gives NASB2 its own mechanical identity rather than just being a budget Smash clone with a Nickelodeon skin. The roguelike campaign, pitting you against Vlad Plasmius across branching stages with perk pickups, adds meaningful solo content. Full voice acting from day one, cross-play across consoles, and overhauled move lists across all 25 base fighters made this feel like a game the developers actually cared about finishing properly. So where does the Season Pass land? The Avatar representation is heavy here - two of the four slots go to the Fire Nation, which rubbed some fans the wrong way given the roster already includes Aang, Korra, and Azula. Zuko plays around his Firebending and martial arts, feeling genuinely distinct from his sister Azula. Iroh and Rocksteady round things out, with Rocksteady bringing TMNT muscle to a side of the roster that was already well-populated. Mr. Krabs, the first to drop, got ongoing balance tweaks post-release, including invincibility on throw states, so the developers were clearly still supporting the roster after characters launched. The community reception to the pass itself has been split. Fans who wanted deep-cut Nickelodeon characters - think fills from Rugrats, Hey Arnold, or forgotten corners of the library - were underwhelmed by a lineup that leaned into franchises already heavily represented. That's a fair criticism. If you wanted Sandy Cheeks back, or Lincoln Loud, or any of the cuts from the first game, this season pass is not that. What it does offer is four competently built fighters with full costume sets and clear move identities, which is more than many licensed-game season passes manage. Bottom line for Xbox players specifically: you are buying roster depth for a platform fighter that scored a 73 on Metacritic and sits at mixed-to-positive on Steam. The base game is the better purchase decision; the season pass is for players who have logged real time with it and want fresh matchup options. If the Slime Meter clicks for you and you're still grinding ranked or local sessions with friends, the four-character bundle is a reasonable way to extend that.
