Morkredd Ra Edition
A co-op puzzle built around one merciless rule: step into shadow and you die. Tight, atmospheric, and genuinely clever, though it ends before you want it to.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for co-op puzzle fans who want atmosphere over story and can handle a game that punishes every lapse in spatial awareness.

Acerca de Morkredd Ra Edition
I spent my first twenty minutes with Morkredd dying to my own shadow, and I mean that as a compliment. The game drops you into a pitch-black world where two spirit-like characters must push an orb of light ahead of them, because stepping into any shadow, including the shadow cast by your own companion, means instant death. That single constraint, absurdly simple on paper, becomes the foundation for over sixty puzzles that each find a new angle to stress-test your spatial awareness and your patience with whoever is sitting beside you. The two characters are tasked with transporting a large ball of light, solving puzzles and avoiding enemies along the way, with even the faintest creep of darkness bringing near-instantaneous death. Solo players take control of both characters simultaneously through the left and right analogue sticks, which is the kind of brain-splitting challenge that makes you feel genuinely skilled once it clicks. In single-player, the experience is extremely challenging, similar to patting your head and rubbing your belly, with each character mapped to a separate thumbstick. With a friend on the couch the dynamic shifts entirely: you have to be mindful of each other's position at all times, because stepping into your partner's shadow is just as lethal, making consideration for your teammate the true center of the experience. The puzzle design deserves real credit for its variety. At times you push the big orb around and chase after it while protecting your partner from your own shadow; at others you press buttons and pull levers while the orb guards you; and occasionally the camera perspective shifts entirely, swapping from the isometric view into a horizontal tunnel run. A mid-game sequence involving rotating concentric walls with cutouts, letting light fire through in shifting patterns while both characters scramble to reach separate levers, is the kind of puzzle that makes you put the controller down and think before acting. The puzzles rely on a preconceived logic of movement designed to trip you up, and slow and steady is the general order of play. Checkpoints are generous, which keeps frustration from curdling into rage-quitting. Where Morkredd earns its Ra Edition label is in the Ode expansion content bundled in. The Ra edition grants access to the Ode expansion, which adds new puzzles, character hats, and alternate orb designs, plus visual filters that make the base game worth revisiting with a different aesthetic. The narrative, told entirely through hidden environmental murals and imagery without a single word of dialogue, is the area most players bounce off. Its attempt at conveying an obscure story through image-only murals collected across levels leaves many players finishing the game without a clear sense of why any of it happened. I find that actually fits the mood, the world feels older and stranger than any lore dump could express, but if you need a reason to care about your characters beyond raw puzzle satisfaction, Morkredd will feel cold. The runtime sits around two to three hours for the base game, and while some early launch builds had technical rough patches, the Steam reviews at Very Positive suggest the experience has settled into something worth trusting. This one is for the co-op puzzle crowd who wants something with genuine atmosphere rather than whimsy, and for solo players who do not mind having their coordination thoroughly interrogated. It is handcrafted, atmospheric, and knows exactly when to stop. The Ra Edition is the version to own.
