I went in expecting a narrative-driven horror game. What I got was a straightforward hidden-object adventure set inside a sprawling mansion full of secrets. You're tasked with unraveling what went wrong here and stopping some unseen threat, but the plot stays thin throughout. The real meat is in the searching and light puzzle-solving: find items, use them to unlock rooms, repeat. Millionaire Manor doesn't reinvent the genre, and the macabre setup doesn't deliver genuine scares. But if you're the type who finds satisfaction in methodical exploration and object hunts without story pretension, this 2014 release delivers that loop reliably. It's niche by design, short enough not to overstay, and cheap enough that a casual afternoon spent poking around the Manor won't feel wasted.
