Falnarion Tactics II

I went in expecting a lightweight tactics game and instead found something with real mechanical depth buried under a sparse presentation. Falnarion Tactics II asks you to manage positioning, unit synergies, and resource economy across missions that get substantially harder after the opening hours. The story picks up after the first game as Tolem leading The Black Order against Kingdom of Inelda, which is fine setup but secondary to what matters: whether you can optimize your squad composition and predict AI responses. The friction is real. Tutorial pacing is slow, UI feedback could be clearer, and there's no hand-holding in later encounters. But if you're the type who finds satisfaction in understanding how a tactics system actually works - how positioning creates advantage, how ability cooldowns sync with enemy patterns - there's a solid game here. It won't hold your hand, but it doesn't insult your intelligence either.
