Every raid, dungeon, and expansion Destiny 2 ever shipped, in one bundle, now that the live service curtain has closed. For loot-shooter completionists, that's either the deal of the decade or the start of a very long rabbit hole.

I've watched Destiny 2 eat entire social calendars for nearly a decade, so I'll be direct: The Collection is the first time you could actually buy the whole game. All seven expansions from Forsaken through The Edge of Fate, ten dungeons including Warlord's Ruin and Sundered Doctrine, seven raids from Last Wish all the way to The Desert Perpetual, four reward passes, and over fifty exotic weapons and armor pieces. That is an enormous amount of content for a first-person shooter that is, at its core, still free to start. The pitch is clearest for two groups. New players who tried the free version, got hooked on the gun feel (and Destiny 2 has some of the best gunplay on PC, full stop), and kept hitting locked content walls. And returning players who dropped off during a mid-cycle season and missed entire campaigns. For both, The Collection removes the patchwork of individual DLC decisions and just opens the whole archive at once. The three Guardian classes, Titan, Warlock, and Hunter, each play meaningfully differently across the subclasses, and with Light, Dark, Strand, and Stasis abilities all available, build variety is genuinely deep. The honest counterpoint: Destiny 2 has ended its live-service run. Bungie has drawn a line under the game and shifted focus elsewhere, which means no new seasons, no new balance patches, and a player population that skews toward dedicated veterans rather than fresh waves of newcomers. Raids and dungeons require coordination and, increasingly, you'll need to find that through community channels rather than a thriving in-game matchmaking pool. The narrative onboarding problem that always plagued the game hasn't been solved either. Early campaigns from the Red War era were vaulted years ago, so new players still enter a story that starts mid-chapter, leaning on lore tabs and third-party wikis to fill gaps. What The Collection does exceptionally well is present a complete, stable snapshot of a game that spent years being partially inaccessible unless you bought at launch. The dungeon design, particularly the later entries, is the best Bungie has ever made. Raids like Salvation's Edge and Root of Nightmares are mechanically rich and visually stunning. If your measure of value is hours of content per dollar, this bundle is hard to argue with. If you need a live, growing game to stay motivated, you may hit a ceiling faster than you expect. Best for loot-shooter fans who want the full Destiny 2 archive in one shot, knowing the live service era is firmly behind it.
