If you have ever bounced off Destiny 2 because the free-to-play version felt like a sampler platter with half the dishes behind a paywall, this collection is the answer. Bundling Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen under one purchase, it covers a major arc of Destiny 2's shared-world FPS story - the slow build toward the Witch Queen herself, Savathun, and the central mystery of how she stole the Light from the Traveler. Whether you are a returning player or someone who has been peer-pressured into trying it, this is how you get meaningfully caught up. Of the three expansions, The Witch Queen is the clear headliner. It introduced weapon crafting, letting you chase specific weapon patterns and build your ideal loadout rather than praying to the RNG gods. The new Void 3.0 subclass overhaul gave Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans a much deeper toolkit of Aspects and Fragments to slot in and combine. Savathun's Throne World is a genuinely gorgeous destination, shifting between a haunted keep and murky swamps that carry real visual weight. The Legendary campaign difficulty is the other big selling point: it scales enemies up to give you a proper challenge whether you run it solo or in co-op with a fireteam of three. Beyond Light brought the Stasis subclass and the icy Europa setting. Shadowkeep, the oldest of the three, is the lightest on content but contributes important narrative setup around the Hive and the Moon. Here is the honest catch: this bundle does not include dungeon access for any of these expansions. Dungeons are sold separately via individual keys, and that is a frustration the community has been vocal about for years. If you and your squad are planning to raid and run high-end PvE together, know upfront that the Deepstone Crypt and Vault of Glass-era content is part of what you get, but some of the most replayable endgame content (the dungeons) will cost more. The narrative can also be rough for absolute newcomers - Destiny 2 is not a game that explains itself kindly, and jumping into Witch Queen cold without understanding who Savathun is will leave some threads dangling. On the fun-for-a-group question: yes, absolutely. The campaigns support three-player co-op throughout, strikes and the Crucible PvP modes are all accessible with this collection unlocked, and Gambit (the hybrid PvE-PvP mode) is in there too. The gunplay itself remains some of the best-feeling FPS moment-to-moment action on PC - tight, punchy, and varied across primary, special, and heavy weapon slots. Getting three friends through the Witch Queen Legendary campaign on a weekend is a genuinely excellent time.
