Cities: Skylines - Parklife Plus
Parklife turns dead land between your roads into leveling park districts with real management depth - worth it if beautification has always felt like an afterthought in your builds.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for city-builders who want their green spaces to function as managed districts, not just happiness decorations.

I've spent enough hours color-coding district policies in Cities: Skylines to know when an expansion is genuinely adding decision-making layers versus just dropping new assets into the toolbar. Parklife lands firmly in the former camp, even if it takes a while to reveal that. The core hook is a new park area tool that lets you designate any empty land as a park district, then build it out piece by piece - fence lines, walking trails, benches, kiosks, roller coasters, flamingos, the works. Crucially, this is the first time in the base game that buildings can sit next to paths rather than roads, which sounds like a small change until you realize it fundamentally opens up how you think about land use between your arterials. From a systems perspective, the district leveling loop is where the real engagement lives. Parks level up as you invest in them, which in turn boosts surrounding property values - a feedback loop that strategy players will immediately recognize and start optimizing. A dedicated Park Maintenance building dispatches vehicles to keep satisfaction high, adding another service-coverage variable to your city map. On top of that, you get eleven new policies split between citywide and park-specific scope, covering everything from Animal Ethics for your zoo districts to Fireworks restrictions. The sightseeing bus line and hot air balloon tours layer in a tourist simulation angle: tourists are now individually tracked as Cims, their flows visible and follow-able, which means you can actually diagnose bottlenecks in your leisure infrastructure the same way you'd audit a transit line. The Parklife Plus bundle folds in the Country Road Radio station alongside the expansion itself - sixteen original tracks across Appalachian Folk, Bluegrass, Nashville Modern Country, and Unplugged Country sub-genres. It is a nice ambient touch that fits the slower, contemplative pace of park-building sessions, though it will not be for everyone. The tutorial is the one recurring criticism worth taking seriously: it is not particularly clear about how the park area designation interacts with existing road infrastructure, and new players may spend twenty minutes confused before things click. Veteran Skylines players will push past that in minutes, but Colossal Order could have done better at handholding here. For the mod ecosystem angle - and this matters - the Parklife assets are fully exposed to the Steam Workshop pipeline. The community has layered thousands of additional park props, unique buildings, and custom park layouts on top of the base content, which means your amusement park or nature reserve can look genuinely distinct rather than identical to every other player's. That kind of mod-readiness is exactly what separates a DLC worth owning from one you uninstall after a session. If you're running a heavily modded Skylines install, Parklife is one of the few expansions the Workshop community explicitly builds around.
