Acerca de ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON Pre-Order Bonus (DLC)
My honest take on this one: skip it as a standalone purchase unless it came bundled with your copy of Armored Core VI and you're wondering what you've got. The pre-order bonus DLC for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the Melander C3 G13 Special Customization pack, dubbed "Tenderfoot," and it is about as lightweight as DLC gets. It unlocks the Melander C3 parts set and a matching emblem early, plus throws in one exclusive AC decal. Here is the catch that the community flagged immediately at launch: the parts set and the emblem are both obtainable by simply playing the game. The only item in this bundle that you genuinely cannot get any other way is that single decal, which amounts to a cosmetic sticker on your mech. If you were expecting a build-altering head-start or mission content, this is not that. The reason this DLC gets any attention at all is that the base game it sits on top of is legitimately strong. Armored Core VI is a tight, mission-driven mech action game built around fast omni-directional combat and a deep hangar customization system. You pilot a mercenary known as Raven across Rubicon 3, juggling contracts from corporations and resistance groups while fine-tuning your mech loadout between sorties. Arm weapons, shoulder weapons, boosters, generators, leg types -- every slot changes how your AC moves and hits, and the game actively punishes players who refuse to adapt their build to each boss. That systemic pressure to experiment is where the game earns its reputation. For those wondering if the Melander C3 parts set is worth having early: they are early-game tier parts, competitive for the opening hours but nothing you will still be running by the midpoint. Getting them from the pre-order pack versus unlocking them through normal progression barely shifts the experience. The exclusive decal is purely cosmetic and non-functional in combat. FromSoftware's philosophy throughout this game is clearly that you should earn your victories, which makes the minimal scope of this bonus feel at least philosophically consistent -- they did not hand you a win button, just a slightly earlier wardrobe option. Who is this for, then? Anyone who bought Armored Core VI at launch and received this automatically has already absorbed the value, negligible as it is. Anyone considering purchasing this DLC separately to add to an existing copy of the game should weigh that the only truly exclusive item is a cosmetic decal. It is not a content pack, not a story add-on, not a new mech frame. It is a day-one goodie bag that has since been listed as a sellable key on the secondary market, which tells you everything about how the community regards its scarcity.
