ZERO GUNNER 2-

Zero Gunner 2 is an old-school arcade-style shooter where you pilot a helicopter through short, punishing levels while dodging enemy fire and collecting power-ups. It's the kind of game that doesn't explain itself and doesn't care if you get it. Mechanics are stripped bare: aim, shoot, survive. No story, no progression systems, just repeating loops of combat until you either memorize the patterns or run out of lives. There's a charm to that directness if you're chasing retro arcade thrills, but the Xbox port of this aging shooter doesn't do much to make it welcoming. Screen real estate is tight, enemy patterns feel more random than designed, and the learning curve is steep without the quarter-per-continue economy that made arcade brutality feel fair. If you love bullet-hell fundamentals and don't mind rough edges, it's a competent throwback. Otherwise, it's a curiosity best left in the arcade cabinet.
