We Are Legion

I booted We Are Legion expecting a chill throwback to old-school RTSes. Instead, I got a game that throws out the resource-management rulebook entirely. No unit caps, no economy to micromanage, no mercy mechanics. You're just spawning armies as fast as your reflexes and screen real estate allow, which means the strategy here lives in positioning and raw decision speed rather than build orders. It's chaotic by design, and if you hate frantic pacing, you'll bounce off immediately. The retro pixel aesthetic sells the vibe, but the real hook is how it strips RTSes down to their most frenetic core. This works brilliantly if you want a strategy game that's more action than optimization, but it's also niche enough that I can't recommend it blindly. Play a round or two before committing; you'll know within ten minutes if this particular flavor of arcade chaos speaks to you.
