Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Collector's Edition

I spent hours in Vermintide expecting a loot-driven horde shooter, but found something quieter and more deliberate instead. This is a first-person melee co-op game where five players fight ratmen through tight European village streets and sewers. The combat feels weighty, your sword connects with feedback, and positioning against the swarm actually matters. No progression treadmill softens the learning curve; you're thrown into hard difficulty with a cleaver and expected to learn timing. What works is the pacing and restraint. Levels end when they should, not when the battle pass demands. The Warhammer lore sits lightly on the action without drowning it. What doesn't is the age, matchmaking feels thin now, and solo play becomes a slog when your AI teammates can't coordinate. This is a game for people who value craft over convenience, and who don't mind playing old co-op games old.
