Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus - Complete Collection

I went in expecting a standard tactics game and found something leaner and more pressurized. You're commanding a squad of Skitarii and Servitors through procedurally-generated tomb complexes, making hard calls about which loot to grab, which squad members to sacrifice, and how to handle randomly-spawned threats. Each run is short enough to finish in an evening, but the resource scarcity means every decision stings, you rarely have enough ammunition or healing to be comfortable. The Warhammer 40K theming feels authentic rather than slapped-on, and the art nails that industrial-gothic aesthetic. It's not for players hunting a 40-hour campaign. Mechanicus is a roguelike-adjacent experience that respects your time but demands focus. If you like the tension of turn-based tactics where failure means restarting, and you don't mind the grimdark setting's grim-for-grimness-sake tone, this scratches a specific itch.
