Roguelike FPS that shines in co-op but struggles with balance and solo pacing.

About The Pit: Infinity
The Pit: Infinity wears its roguelike-FPS hybrid identity proudly, dropping you into procedurally-generated runs through a Suul'ka megastructure with permadeath teeth. Online co-op is the game's strongest hook; tackling randomized encounters alongside friends adds genuine tension when one misstep costs everyone the run. The core loop of loot, shoot, unlock is serviceable, and the facility's retro sci-fi aesthetic has character. What undermines it: mixed Steam reception (65% positive) hints at the real problem. Pacing stutters between frantic combat and grinding quiet sections. Balance feels amateur in places, some builds trivialize runs while others brick before midgame. The single-player experience lacks the co-op spark that justifies the investment. If roguelikes paired with steady multiplayer friends appeal to you, The Pit scratches that itch. Solo players will likely bounce off faster.
