You're plotting escapes from increasingly elaborate prisons by collecting items, forming disguises, and timing your moves on a grid. The base game rewards patience and observation - you'll spot guard routines, map out routes, and piece together MacGyver solutions from soap and bed sheets. The Walking Dead spin-off layers the same escape logic onto a zombie survival scenario, which sounds gimmicky but actually works because the constraint of "don't get eaten" adds real urgency to your planning. Both games have a deliberate, methodical pace that'll bore anyone hunting action-game thrills, but if you like puzzle games where trial-and-error beats muscle memory, there's something genuinely clever here. The grid-based movement and item-crafting system click fast once you internalize it, and the multiple solutions per level mean replays feel different.
