I went in expecting a straightforward pest-control shooter, but Takelings House Party leans hard into the absurdity. You're armed with whatever household items you can grab - think tennis rackets, frying pans, pool noodles - to swat down waves of small, determined creatures overrunning a suburban home. It's frantic and deliberately silly, designed for local co-op chaos where coordination falls apart and everyone's laughing instead. The core loop is simple: grab a weapon, aim, swing, repeat. It works best with friends in the same room, especially on harder waves where you need to cover ground and defend multiple angles. Solo play exists but loses the comedic magic. If you're looking for tactical depth or a meaty VR experience, this isn't it. But if your VR library needs more "laughing at each other while flailing weapons" energy, Takelings delivers exactly that.
