What you actually get is four additional fighters - Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma - plus two extra stages, three full alternate costume sets for each of those four characters (Outfits 2 and 3 with all color variants), extended Outfit 1 color options, and 7,700 Drive Tickets as a purchase bonus. That is the complete Year 1 content picture. The characters themselves are the real headline, and on that front Capcom delivered interesting additions. Rashid is a fast, combo-friendly rushdown character with air mobility tricks that reward creativity. A.K.I. is a deliberate poison-based zoner with a very specific, acquired-taste playstyle. Ed brings a redesigned toolkit compared to his Street Fighter V version, leaning harder into a charge-free, punch-heavy offense. And Akuma - fan favorite, series stalwart - was always going to be the anchor that justified the season. Each of these fighters slots neatly into SF6's Drive System, which rewards aggressive play and punishes meter mismanagement. The base game's rollback netcode and overall competitive health are genuinely strong; Street Fighter 6 has held its ground as the dominant fighting game in the EVO and competitive circuit space since launch. The friction is about value framing, not content quality. This pass sits on top of an already full-priced base game, and the community pushback was loud from the moment Capcom announced it. Locking Akuma - one of the most requested legacy characters - behind an additional purchase stings for players who already paid full price at launch. The Steam user review score for this DLC sits at roughly 24% positive, which is a signal worth taking seriously. That number reflects price frustration more than any complaint about the fighters themselves, but price frustration is real and legitimate. The two extra stages are nice but not transformative. The costume sets add genuine visual variety if you care about that layer of customization, and the Drive Tickets can offset some future cosmetic spending in the in-game shop. Who should pick this up? If you are already deep in SF6's ranked ladder or playing it regularly in local versus, the four characters add meaningful roster variety and all four have seen tournament play, so you will face them online regardless. Owning them means lab time, which matters competitively. If you are a casual player who dips in occasionally, the Character Pass (characters only, lower price) probably serves you better than the Ultimate tier. The extra outfits and stages are fan-service, not fundamentals. Wait for a discount if you are on the fence - this pass has already appeared at reduced prices on Steam and third-party key stores, and that changes the calculus considerably.
