Square Brawl

Square Brawl is exactly what the title promises: basic fighting on a grid, rendered in wireframe or flat geometry. I went in expecting either a retro homage or an indie puzzle-fighting hybrid, and got... something. The mechanics feel skeletal, which could work as intentional minimalism, but without any visible progression system, narrative hook, or even clear difficulty scaling, it's hard to tell if this is an unfinished project or a statement piece. If you're the type who enjoys fighting games stripped to their mathematical core, there's something here to poke at. The real problem is the absence of context. No Steam reviews, no marketing, no visible feature list means I can't confidently tell you whether this is worth your time or a abandoned Early Access artifact. Play it if pure mechanics intrigue you and you expect nothing else. Otherwise, wait for a clearer picture.
