Space Thinger

Space Thinger is a stripped-down arcade space shooter built on a loop: fly into combat zones, complete missions, mine asteroids for crystals, and scavenge debris to upgrade your ship. It's pure mechanical grind with no narrative fluff. If you grew up on 80s coin-ops, the straightforward mission structure and upgrade progression will feel familiar and honest. The catch is that it's also relentlessly samey. Combat zones blur together, mining asteroids is busywork, and there's no meta-progression that makes you feel like you're building toward something bigger. It works as a palate-cleanser between story-heavy games, but don't expect depth. Best suited for players who actually enjoy the repetition itself, not players looking for a reason to repeat it.
