GamerScout Verdict
Stealth-sniper completionists might find value, but dated presentation and AI quirks make this a pass for most.

About Sniper: Ghost Warrior - Second Strike
I went in expecting a straightforward stealth-sniper experience, and that's mostly what I got. Second Strike puts you in the role of a covert operative tasked with long-range eliminations across semi-open environments. The core loop works: scout a location, find your vantage point, line up shots, and exfiltrate. There's genuine satisfaction in executing a clean approach and watching a target fall without raising an alarm. The problem is execution. The visuals feel dated, animations lack fluidity, and the AI doesn't consistently react to bodies or distant gunfire in ways that feel predictable enough to plan around. Mission variety exists but never strains the formula hard enough to feel fresh across a full campaign. If you're a sniper-game completionist who's already exhausted Hitman and Splinter Cell, Second Strike fills a gap. Otherwise, the rough edges make it hard to recommend when smoother alternatives exist.
