Skylar & Plux: Adventure On Clover Island

I went in expecting filler, but Skylar & Plux surprised me. It's a straightforward 3D platformer in the vein of early 2000s mascot adventures, but without the bloat. You play as Skylar, a cat with a jetpack, collecting items and hopping through themed levels on Clover Island. The controls feel snappy, the level design respects your time, and there's a genuine sense of fun baked into every jump. Nothing reinvents the wheel here, but that's the point. It's a palate cleanser for anyone tired of 40-hour open worlds. The drawback: it's short, and there's no complexity hiding underneath. No skill trees, no secrets that demand replaying, no hidden depths. If you want a no-nonsense platformer that respects your attention span and delivers a complete experience in a few hours, this works. Everyone else can skip it.
