Sam & Max: This Time It's Virtual! [VR]

I went in curious how Big Sugar would adapt the wise-cracking dog and hyperkinetic rabbit for virtual reality. This Time It's Virtual ditches the classic LucasArts adventure-game format entirely, replacing inventory puzzles and dialogue trees with first-person interaction and motion controller mechanics. You're solving crimes and cracking jokes alongside the pair, though the whole thing feels more like a themed VR experience than a true Sam & Max game. It's short, it leans hard on the characters' charm, and VR newcomers will probably get more out of the novelty than veterans of the original LucasArts adventures or Telltale's later series. Don't expect puzzle depth or narrative complexity here. If you want Sam & Max in VR specifically and have the headset already, it's a decent afternoon diversion. Otherwise, the classic point-and-click games hold up better.
