About RIVE: Wreck, Hack, Die, Retry!
RIVE is a bite-sized arcade action game that throws you into tight corridors filled with mechanical obstacles and hostile drones. You've got guns, a hacking ability that flips enemy fire in your favor, and a screen that never stops pushing forward. It's pure momentum, keep moving, keep shooting, adapt or die, then retry from the last checkpoint. The chaos is intentional, and if you're the type who loves games like Geometry Wars or early Resogun, the constant barrage of fire and need to thread the needle between bullets will feel like home. The catch is that RIVE doesn't have much beyond that core loop. There's no deep progression system or narrative to anchor runs together. If arcade action stripped down to its essentials is what you want, this delivers. If you need story hooks or long-term goals to stay invested, you'll bounce off fast. It's a niche game for niche tastes, but within that lane, it swings hard.
