About Quar: Battle for Gate 18 [VR]
I went in expecting a full campaign experience and got something leaner. Quar: Battle for Gate 18 is a VR shooter built around close-quarters combat scenarios where positioning and weapon discipline matter more than trigger speed. You're defending a space station gate against waves of hostile aliens, and the game respects that premise without padding it into a 20-hour slog. Movement feels deliberate in VR, cover works as intended, and reloading is tactile enough to make ammo count. The rough edges are obvious: limited enemy variety, repetitive environments, no obvious narrative hook, and it's impossible to tell how much content actually exists because visibility is nearly zero. This isn't a showpiece VR title, and it doesn't try to be. It's a focused tactical sandbox for people who want to shoot aliens methodically in virtual reality without production-value bloat. If that sounds like your VR night, it's worth checking out. If you need polish and spectacle, look elsewhere.
