GamerScout Verdict
A bite-sized puzzle adventure with surprising charm and zero filler. Best for players who appreciate intentional design over length.

About Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets
I picked this up expecting a standard tower-defense slog, but what I found instead was a lean, intentional puzzle-adventure that respects your time. You're tasked with guiding (or shoving) grotesque alien creatures back into their containment cells before chaos spreads. The puzzle design is clean: simple rules, escalating difficulty, no bloat. Each level is a compact brain-teaser that rarely overstays its welcome. What struck me most was the personality. BeautiFun Games (the studio behind Nihilumbra) clearly poured care into the sprite work and sound design. The aliens have character, the UI is crisp, and the pacing never drags. This isn't a game trying to be a 30-hour experience. It's a 4-6 hour sprint with a clear endpoint, which honestly feels refreshing. If you want something charming and clever that fits in an afternoon, this deserves your attention.
