Pickupbal

I spent my first five minutes with Pickupbal thinking nikulas had made a joke game. Then something clicked. This is what happens when a solo dev distills a mechanic down to its purest form and builds an entire world around it. You pick up a ball. The interaction feels right, weighty, satisfying, intentional. Each level is a small puzzle of positioning and timing, nothing bloated, nothing wasted. What strikes me most is the restraint. No bloat, no tutorial padding, no false difficulty spikes. Pickupbal knows exactly what it is and doesn't overstay its welcome. The 99% positive rating from players tells you everything: people recognize craft when they see it, even in something this small.
