GamerScout Verdict
A solid action-JRPG follow-up that only clicks if you've already sunk 100 hours into Persona 5.

About Persona 5 Strikers
Persona 5 Strikers is a direct sequel to Persona 5, picking up months after the original game ends. If you haven't finished that 100-hour monster, you'll be lost, this game doesn't recap much and throws you straight into character dynamics and plot threads that only veterans care about. Assuming you're in that club: the combat pivot from turn-based to real-time dynasty-warrior-style hack-and-slash is genuinely fun, and the art direction remains phenomenal. You'll chain attacks, trigger persona abilities mid-combo, and actually feel the physicality of battle in ways the original couldn't deliver. The story's lean and linear compared to Persona 5's school-life structure, you're chasing corruption across Japanese cities in a road-trip format, which keeps pacing snappy but sacrifices some character breathing room. It's a good-not-great sequel that respects what made the first game special without trying to reinvent it. Best experienced as a victory lap for Persona 5 devotees, not an entry point.
