Onsen Master caught me off guard with how much it understands leisure. You're running a bathhouse on a fantasy island, mixing ingredients to cure customer ailments, but the pacing never feels like optimization grind. The game wants you to experiment, chat with regulars, and watch the little ritual of remedy-making unfold. It's got local co-op and split-screen options, which is rare and genuinely welcome for something this gentle. What holds it back is scope. The ingredient combinations feel limited once you've played a few hours, and the customer roster repeats faster than the game's small team likely intended. But that's also kind of the point: Onsen Master knows exactly what it is and respects your time.
