I picked this up expecting a straightforward adventure game, and that's mostly what I got. You're Nicolas Eymerich, a historical inquisitor tasked with investigating plague deaths in a 14th-century French town. The gameplay loop is classic point-and-click: collect items, combine them in your inventory, talk to NPCs for clues, and slowly unlock new areas as you solve environmental puzzles. It's deliberately paced and dialogue-heavy, so if you're looking for action or fast puzzle-solving, this isn't it. The writing and historical setting are the main draws here. The plague backdrop gives the story weight, and the inquisitor protagonist offers a fresh angle on the adventure-game detective angle. Performance is stable and the interface works fine, though the puzzles occasionally feel arbitrary (trying random inventory combinations is part of the experience). Best suited for players who loved old LucasArts adventures or modern point-and-click indie games and don't mind slow-burn storytelling.
