New Yankee: Battle for the Bride
A light medieval tower-defense puzzle where you manage three action types per turn to block a greedy knight's wedding plot. Surprisingly rigid decision trees for a casual title.

About New Yankee: Battle for the Bride
I spent a few hours with New Yankee expecting throwaway tower-defense fluff, but found something more deliberate: a turn-based resource optimizer where every action slot matters. Each turn you pick from three pools, gather gold, build defenses, or clear obstacles, and the order matters because enemies advance predictably. It's not deep enough to scratch a grand-strategy itch, but the constraint system forces real choices instead of mindless clicking. The catch is brutal balance tuning. A single wrong turn-order decision can cascade into a loss state with no recovery path, which reads less like elegant puzzle design and more like trial-and-error gatekeeping. The narrative framing about stopping a villainous marriage is paper-thin window dressing. If you enjoy turn-based optimization puzzles and don't mind restarting levels after a bad decision, this scratches that itch for a few hours. Otherwise, it's a compact experience that overstays its welcome by demanding perfection without explaining why. Diego, Scout Team
