Never Ending Night

I spent some time with Never Ending Night expecting a cohesive exploration experience, but what I found was a 2D side-scroller that feels unfinished. You're dropped into a broken world with no memory, tasked with traversing hostile terrain and surviving encounters with mechs. The core loop of moving right, avoiding obstacles, and piecing together what's happening has potential, but execution falters. The game's biggest issue is how abruptly it cuts off - the narrative promise suggested by the premise never lands, and mechanics feel half-baked rather than deliberately minimalist. If you're drawn to lo-fi exploration games or don't mind rough edges in indie projects, there's a kernel of atmosphere here worth checking out on a deep sale. Everyone else should wait to see if the developer releases substantial updates. As it stands, it's more interesting as a concept than as something to actually play through.
