NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy drops you into a neon-soaked hacking fantasy where you're breaching corporate networks via a command-line interface. The appeal is immediate: typing commands to infiltrate systems, uncover secrets, and navigate moral choices within a tight sci-fi story. The writing is sharp enough to carry the weight, and there's genuine tension in the stealth-hacking sequences where one misstep locks you out. The problem is scope. You'll see everything the game has to offer in 3-4 hours, and there's not much reason to return. The hacking mechanics don't evolve beyond their initial introduction, and side content is sparse. It's a solid proof-of-concept for cyberpunk minimalism, not a full meal. Worth a shot if you want short, focused sci-fi noir, but don't expect depth.
