Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2

I went in expecting a straightforward repackaging of the GBA Mega Man Battle Network series, and that's what Vol. 2 delivers - games 4, 5, and 6 running on what feels like bare-bones emulation. The core loop holds up: jack into systems, battle viruses in grid-based combat, upgrade your navi with chips and programs. It's turn-based strategy lite, more accessible than the Pokémon crowd might expect. If you skipped these games the first time around, the janky presentation won't ruin the fun. That said, there's no real effort here beyond archival. No rebalancing, no quality-of-life patches, no widescreen. You get the games as they were, warts and all. That's fine if you're chasing pure nostalgia, but anyone coming in fresh will notice the age. This collection is for people who already know whether they want these specific three entries, not a jumping-on point.
