Magic Carpet Plus

I fired up Magic Carpet Plus expecting a conventional fantasy game. Instead, I got a first-person flying carpet that handles like a drunk bumblebee, paired with a spell-casting system that feels half-baked but genuinely fun. You're hovering over procedurally-generated worlds, lobbing fireballs at enemies and collecting mana bottles. The controls are floaty and the graphics are pure '90s blocky-3D, but there's something magnetic about the sheer weirdness of it all. It's a game that doesn't fit neatly into any box, which is both its charm and its limitation. If you're chasing polished gameplay or a coherent story, keep walking. But if you want a slice of PC gaming history that plays like nothing else, and you can tolerate clunky controls and dated visuals, Magic Carpet Plus is a genuinely odd time capsule worth experiencing.
