I went in expecting a casual couch-fighter, and that's mostly what LEGO Brawls delivers. You pick a minifig, level up abilities, and rumble through short matches against AI or local co-op partners. The roster spans multiple LEGO themes, so there's some charm in seeing different licensed characters throw down. Matches are snappy and approachable, which is fine if you're playing with younger gamers or want something low-stakes. The catch: it's shallow. No ranked modes, minimal depth to combat, and the progression loop gets repetitive fast if you're playing solo. The game exists mostly as a console exclusive tie-in, so don't expect the refinement you'd get from dedicated brawlers. It's decent for split-screen sessions but forgettable otherwise.
