HELLDIVERS + HELLDIVERS 2

I went in expecting a straightforward co-op shooter package, but what's here is more interesting: the 2017 original Helldivers is a tight, wave-based third-person affair with real teeth to its difficulty, while Helldivers 2 expands the formula into a fuller live-service game. The first game holds up surprisingly well if you can tolerate its age. The second is where the franchise is actively evolving, with deeper progression systems and ongoing content drops. Worth it if you want roots-level context before jumping into the current game, or if you're chasing co-op shooter depth without live-service bloat. Fair warning: neither is a solo experience, and both demand team coordination. They're niche by design, not for players who need constant single-player options or polished cinematic presentation.
