I went in blind on Gundemonium Recollection Key expecting a standard shmup, and what I found was a lean, no-nonsense bullet-hell that respects your reflexes more than your patience. You're piloting a ship through waves of projectiles with deliberate, readable patterns, the kind where death feels like your mistake, not the game's. There's no story bloat, no progression systems designed to pad playtime, just pure arcade feedback: dodge, shoot, memorize, survive. The visual noise is real (bullets everywhere), but hitboxes are tight and collision detection is consistent, which matters when you're milliseconds from the next restart. This is absolutely not for everyone. If you hate replaying the same boss phase for the fifteenth time or find frame-perfect timing tedious, skip it. But if you spent your teenage years in arcades or you're after a game that rewards pure mechanical skill with zero handholding, Gundemonium scratches that itch. It's short, it's focused, and it doesn't apologize for being hard.
