About Gears Triple Bundle
I'm guessing this bundle stacks the original Gears of War, Gears 2, and Gears 3, the cover-shooter trilogy that defined early Xbox 360. If you skipped them back then, there's real tactical meat here: chainsaw weapons, active reload timing, and split-screen co-op that still holds up better than you'd expect. The campaigns are meat-and-potatoes military action, heavy on setpieces and light on character depth, but they move fast enough that you won't feel bored. The catch is age. Three games from 2006-2011 show their years in animation, dialogue, and level design. Online multiplayer is likely a ghost town, and the single-player story won't surprise anyone who's seen a third-person shooter made after 2015. Worth bundling together as a historical tour if you're curious about the DNA of the genre, or if you've got someone to split-screen through them with. Solo players chasing a modern campaign should look elsewhere.
