About Disciples: Liberation - Paths to Madness
I went in expecting turn-based tactical combat grounded in the Disciples universe. What I got was a janky, underbaked experience that feels more like an early access placeholder than a finished product. The "Paths to Madness" hook suggests a darker take on the franchise, but without clear mechanics, coherent level design, or any real feedback loop, it's hard to tell what the game is even trying to do. If you're a diehard Disciples lore fan willing to tolerate rough edges, there might be a kernel of something here. For everyone else, the dozens of better tactical RPGs and horror-adjacent adventures will give you a far less frustrating evening. Skip this one unless you're specifically hunting for obscure experiments.
