GamerScout Verdict
Quick, loud, and dumb fun if you own a VR headset and don't mind shallow arcade thrills.

About Dick Wilde [VR]
Dick Wilde is a wave-based VR shooter that strips away story and goes straight for the gimmick: you're a grizzled swamp-dwelling hunter taking on absurd creatures with oversized melee and ranged weapons. The draw here is raw, stupid fun. Gun feel is responsive, melee is satisfying, and the progression loop of upgrading your arsenal keeps the dopamine flowing across short, punchy rounds. It's not trying to be Deep. The downside? Limited enemy variety, no campaign structure, and the novelty burns out once you've seen the five arenas a few times. It's a pure arcade experience that works best in short bursts or as party spectacle (watching someone else flail at monsters in VR is comedy gold). If you want narrative or complex strategy, walk. If you want 45 minutes of cathartic monster-blasting, this does the job.
