Castaway Paradise - Life Sim with Animals

I went in expecting the usual adorable-animal-village routine, and Castaway Paradise delivers that premise without pretense. You're marooned on an island, so you fish, farm, craft, and gradually expand your homestead while collecting quirky animal neighbors. The loop is relaxing rather than demanding, no time pressure, no bankruptcy threats. It's the kind of game you boot up to unwind, not to optimize spreadsheets. The catch: this is indie-made on a tight budget, and it shows. Graphics are serviceable but flat, animations are stiff, and there's no apparent depth to the relationship system beyond basic gifting. If you want the polish of Stardew Valley or the charm of Animal Crossing, look elsewhere. But if you're fine with a rougher, more minimalist life sim that respects your time and won't nag you, this scratches that itch for a few hours.
