Bright Lord

I spent several hours with Bright Lord expecting a power fantasy, but instead found something quieter: a game about the slow erosion of self when something ancient and hungry wears your skin. You're possessed, forced into service, and the demon's appetite for violence and desire bleeds into your relationships. The story leans into consequence; when loved ones become targets, you face a real choice between self-preservation and protection. It's not flashy, the pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, but that restraint works. The writing treats its premise seriously, letting dread and moral weight accumulate rather than explode. The gameplay supports this tone rather than overshadowing it. Cloud saves mean you can sit with your decisions across sessions without friction. It's a short experience that knows when to end, which I respect far more than padding a narrative out. Not for players seeking traditional action or power fantasy, but anyone drawn to possession stories with teeth will find something genuine here.
