About Blaze Revolutions
I spent a few hours with Blaze Revolutions expecting turn-based tactical depth, but what I found was a lighter strategy experience that leans heavily on story. You play as Janet and Winston Blaze, building a resistance against SomaCorp's monopoly. The campaign follows a linear path, and while the setting is compelling, the actual decision-making is shallow, most encounters feel like guided sequences rather than puzzles that reward different approaches. The art style is charming, and controller support works smoothly, but the strategic systems (unit placement, terrain use, economy management) lack the complexity that would justify replaying. This is best suited for players who want narrative above all else, or indie-strategy completionists willing to accept a short, story-focused campaign. If you're hunting for something with real build variety or emergent gameplay, look elsewhere. The bones are there, but the execution doesn't quite deliver on the grand-strategy promise.
