About Blacklight: Tango Down
Blacklight: Tango Down was Ignition Entertainment's attempt at a lean, class-based multiplayer shooter back when the genre was still finding its footing. The core gunplay felt snappy enough for its era, and the loadout customization gave you real incentive to experiment with different weapon combos. Problem is, this was a online-only multiplayer game, and online-only games from 2010 don't age gracefully when the publisher loses interest. Server availability is the elephant in the room. If you're hunting for a working match today, you'll likely stare at a lobby screen longer than you'll actually shoot. The game isn't broken on a technical level, but without an active population or single-player campaign to fall back on, it's a relic. Only grab this if you're a completionist chasing early 2010s shooter history or you've somehow found a private server community keeping it alive.
